Zones in Super Power Tycoon

Identify Super Power Tycoon capture zones, measure capture behavior, and compare 2X Capture Speed and Super Hero defense without invented rewards.

Capture zones are confirmed by two official pass descriptions. 2X Capture Speed says it halves the time needed to capture a zone, while Perma Super Hero says the owner’s zones are harder to capture. Those statements prove that capture time and defensive resistance matter, but they do not publish a map, zone count, reward, or baseline duration.

Evidence level: Official for zone capture, half-time capture from the 2X pass, and harder-to-capture owned zones from Perma Super Hero. Location, number, neutral rules, contest behavior, reward, ownership duration, and exact timing need in-game testing.

Identify a real capture zone

Search for an area with a visible zone name, capture prompt, progress indicator, ownership state, or other unambiguous feedback. A colored circle, landmark, or team-colored floor can be part of the tycoon rather than a capturable objective.

Enter alone and watch for a start event. Record whether progress begins immediately, requires an action, or depends on another condition. Leave before completion once to test whether progress pauses, decays, or resets. Do not infer the rule from one accidental exit.

Measure baseline capture time

Use a neutral or consistently owned zone and one player without the 2X Capture Speed pass. Start timing from the same visible event and stop at the same ownership confirmation. Repeat several times and note whether another player entered or left.

Avoid publishing a universal time until the zone, ownership state, player count, and pass state are controlled. A “harder to capture” Super Hero zone can change the baseline and invalidate the comparison.

Test 2X Capture Speed correctly

At the August 7 checkpoint, the official API lists the pass at 300 Robux and says it reduces capture time by half. Confirm the live price at checkout. Repeat the same zone test with the pass owner under the same conditions.

Compare observed times with the description, but allow for UI rounding and start/finish timing. Do not assume the pass doubles every zone reward, movement speed, or contest strength; the official benefit only names capture time.

Defend and contest a zone

Use a willing second player to test what happens when an opponent enters. Record whether progress stops, reverses, continues for one team, or depends on player count. If Perma Super Hero is involved, mark which player owns the zone and whether the “harder to capture” effect changes time or another requirement.

Test combat and capture separately before combining them. A power can remove an opponent from the area, but that does not prove a direct capture bonus. Likewise, flying or swinging over a zone may not count as standing in it.

Verify rewards instead of guessing

Record balances and UI before and after capture. Check Cash, Science, buffs, ownership indicators, and any timer only when the interface connects the change to the zone. Do not import reward tables from another superhero tycoon.

If no direct reward appears, the zone may still matter for control or another system. Report “no reward observed in this test” rather than “zones give nothing.”

Zone mistakes

  • Timing a Perma Super Hero-owned zone as the neutral baseline.
  • Assuming the 2X pass doubles rewards.
  • Calling scenery a zone without capture feedback.
  • Ignoring other players during timing.
  • Treating airborne passage as capture participation without evidence.
  • Copying zone maps or rewards from another Place ID.

Zones FAQ

Are zones definitely in the game?

Yes. Current official pass descriptions directly refer to capturing and defending zones.

What does 2X Capture Speed do?

It officially reduces the time required to capture a zone by half.

What makes a zone harder to capture?

Perma Super Hero lists that protection as a benefit for the owner’s zones. The exact mechanic needs a matched live test.

What rewards do zones give?

No reliable current public reward list exists. Compare visible balances and ownership feedback before and after a capture.
